Dual 18-Inch Subwoofer (Non-Powered)
Externally-powered CFX218-S subwoofers use advanced technology and application-driven engineering to bring live sound closer to the ultimate reference point: reality.
Cutting edge high-power woofers and large rock-solid enclosures in a classic vented direct radiating design provide the natural uncolored sub bass favored by audio professionals around the world.
The CFX218-S subwoofer was developed as a companion to other CF and CFX series loudspeakers in high level entertainment applications needing the powerful sub bass punch and physical impact associated with 18-inch subwoofers.
It is equally at home in fixed installations such as performance arts centers installations and in mobile applications where it will be moved
on a regular basis.
Its enclosure is ruggedly constructed from multi-ply hardwood to withstand the abuse it will receive in portable application and it is rigidly braced and lined with fiberglass to suppress resonances and rattles, and to assure low distortion high level performance.
It is equipped with handles to assist in moving it around. Tripod sockets on one long side and on one end allow it to be used as a mounting base for associated full range loudspeakers, eliminating the need to carry tripod stands.
Heavy duty 6-inch casters are available as an option for units that will be regularly moved from one location to another.

New York, NY | May, 2016 - "Before we installed the Renkus-Heinz system, most artists brought in their own sound systems. Now, most artists and engineers prefer the Renkus-Heinz house system; they love the sound." - Stephen Tolve, President of Audio IncorporatedRead More
Bay St. Louis, Mississippi | March, 2016 - "VARIAi fit perfectly in the original speaker cluster position. The narrow vertical dispersion prevented splashing on the rest of the platform, and the horizontal dispersion let me use one cabinet where I would otherwise have to use several." - Eric Ross, Engineered Lighting and SoundRead More
High seas | June, 2015 - "They needed a system that could deliver high-impact musical performance from the small stage area for dancing and for live music, but could also function at lower levels for background music during the day." "It also had to provide good intelligibility for spoken word performances. And it had to be consistent across the entire venue, without blowing anyone away." - Peter McBoyle, audio consultant and designerRead More
Riverhead, NY | August, 2014 - "Renkus-Heinz voices their boxes with a real belief in the human voice. When I hear vocals coming out of these boxes, they sound like they should even before I touch an EQ. That's very important to me. Intelligibility, warmth, depth, character — that's what the human voice is all about, and it translates to the instruments in the orchestra. If you get human voices to just sound right, you have done your work. And the Renkus-Heinz boxes do that beautifully." - Stuart J. Allyn, A.D.R. Studios, Inc.Read More
