| The AURA, Analysis Utility
for Room Acoustics, module adds a new dimension to the world
of auralization.
Based on the algorithms developed in conjunction with Aachen University,
AURA is a major step forward in the production of more accurate
and realistic acoustical simulations. These algorithms significantly
reduce the amount of calculation time and allow the creation
of Reflectograms with larger reflection orders and longer
time windows than is possible with the algorithms used by
EASE. This usually eliminates the need to add a statistical
tail to the Reflectogram and improves the realism of the auralization.
A typical AURA Reflectogram appears below. Notice that it
covers a 1600 msec time frame. |
| The new algorithms used in AURA also allow
the effects of diffusion (scattering) to be included in the
simulations. This, too, improves the realism of the auralization. |
