DLL’s (Dynamic Link Libraries) were introduced to EASE and EASE JR users in EASE/EASE JR 4.0 and have become a very popular feature.

Each loudspeaker DLL represents a joint effort between the loudspeaker’s manufacturer and ADA. They employ a setup page that allows the user to construct and evaluate the performance of line arrays having different sizes, shapes and configurations.

Adjustable parameters usually include the number of cabinets, the array style (straight, curved or "J"), the splay angles and the power levels.

When the setup is complete, EASE accurately calculates the directivity balloon for the completed line array taking phase interference into account.

The multi-cabinet array has been converted into a single devise that performs as a single loudspeaker in any EASE simulations.
