Construction

Iconyx arrays are assembled from 8-channel IC8-R-II modules. Each Iconyx channel includes a high-performance coaxial transducer driven by a digital amplifier with integrated DSP (digital signal processing).

The purpose-designed coaxial transducers deliver full range output for natural reproduction of both speech and music. Class D digital amplifiers with integral DSP engines control each array element individually.

Optional PCM digital inputs create a pure digital signal path that eliminates unnecessary converter stages for minimal latency and maximum accuracy. The IC8-R-II's transducers, DSP/amplifier and other components are housed in a sealed extruded aluminum enclosure with a perforated metal grille. Modern materials combine high performance and reliability, indoors or outdoors.
