Foothill Ranch, CA [February 2009] – The Renkus-Heinz IC LIVE digitally beam steerable
array will make its live European début on the outdoor stage at Frankfurt Pro
Light+Sound on April 1st-4th, as part of the company’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
Following its live US launch on the Winter NAMM Main Stage at the Anaheim Convention
Center in January, a pair of IC LIVE arrays with matching IC215S dual 15-inch bandpass
subwoofers will be demonstrated at Frankfurt Messe’s Concert Sound Arena at 11.40, 14.20
and 17.00 every day throughout Pro Light+Sound 2009.
The Concert Sound Arena, located in the outdoor exhibition area of the Frankfurt Messe,
features a purpose built stage and a covered audience area.
IC LIVE brings Renkus-Heinz’s ICONYX Digitally Steerable Array technology to live event
production for the first time. IC LIVE arrays produce narrow vertical beams of 30°, 25° and 20°,
steerable up or down by up to 30° at .01° resolution, with wide 150° horizontal dispersion.
Nine
instant-recall presets store beamwidths and aiming angles. Interlocking hardware allows fast
set-up of the IC LIVE array and matching IC215S 2x15” subwoofer.
All five neodymium 6.5-inch woofers and three neodymium compression drivers are individually
powered and DSP controlled by a multi-channel DSP/amplifier.
Optionally, RHAON (Renkus-
Heinz Audio Operations Network) delivers control and monitoring over Ethernet with CobraNet,
AES/EBU and analog audio inputs.
Margie Ulm, Renkus-Heinz Marketing Manager, said: “IC LIVE was a great success at Winter
NAMM in our first showing there for many years, and we aim to make an equally dramati
impression in the Concert Sound Arena at Pro Light+Sound.” |
