Foothill Ranch, CA [March 2009] – Renkus-Heinz celebrates its 30th Anniversary on the very first day of the 2009 Pro Light+Sound show in Frankfurt, where the new IC Live system will be in action on the outdoor Concert Sound Arena, and the company’s new VLX3 high output, lightweight large format line array will also make its European début.

The April 1st celebrations follow a stunningly successful return to Winter NAMM after many years, where expectations were high. The results were exceptional, from the public debut of the IC Live digitally beam steerable live performance system to the new VLX3 large format line array that powered the massive Alice Cooper private party.

IC Live starred on the Main NAMM Stage in the towering glass lobby of the Anaheim Convention Center: a pair of IC LIVE arrays with matching IC215S dual 15-inch bandpass subwoofers formed the main PA system throughout the convention, the cabinet’s precise beam steering and high efficiency making light work of the acoustically challenging space.

“It had a fantastic impact,” says Marketing Manager Margie Ulm. “This was the best way to re-introduce Renkus-Heinz to NAMM attendees and launch our IC Live to the industry in the most exciting way possible – live. We were able to meet with so many people – reps, distributors and customers – that the main stage and our booth alone would have made it a big success.”

But there was more, in the jam-packed shape of the show’s biggest private party, the Alice Cooper concert. Passes for the event quickly ran out due to demand from convention attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and the media. Alice and his band were flanked by a pair of hangs of the latest Renkus-Heinz large format line array, the high output VLX3.

Margie Ulm adds: “There was a lot of excitement and our co-sponsors were thrilled at how good the show sounded. After the event was over, we were sought out to be let known that Alice Cooper and his management, gave us high praise.

FOH engineer said: “You guys rock, your system does everything I need, it’s so easy to work with and it sounds great!” A pair of IC LIVE arrays with matching IC215S dual 15-inch bandpass subwoofers will be demonstrated at Frankfurt Messe’s Concert Sound Arena at 11.40, 14.20 and 17.00 every day throughout Pro Light+Sound 2009.
