- What do they cover and how much do they cost?

SYSTUNE classes are two-day sessions: Both days will be held in a meeting space and will have both presentations and hands-on excercises. They cover the basics of using EASERA SysTune with particular emphasis on sound system measurement basic theory and techniques. The instructor is: Doug Fowler

The tuition is $475.00. It covers the cost of classroom materials, coffee breaks and lunch every day. An optional dinner may be included depending on location. Click here for details on the classes.

The following class synopsis gives a general idea of the subjects covered in the EASERA SysTune classes. As the instructor brings his own methods to teaching the class and the level of experience of the students in the classes varies, the classes may not follow this schedule exactly and these synopses should not be viewed as class outlines.

Prerequisites:

A laptop with EITHER the free demo version of EASERA SysTune, OR your own purchased copy of EASERA SysTune already installed and working before showing up in class; have basic sound system knowledge; be familiar with basic sound system acoustic terms and industry standards for sound system performance and with using computers and the Windows operating system. Once you register for the class, you will be provided with a 30-day trial license and instructions for getting started before showing up to class. This will allow you to already have a functioning system on the first day of class.

- Class Overview

EASERA SysTune classes emphasize the practical use of EASERA SysTune for sound system measurements. Particular emphasis is placed on making fast and accurate field measurements and interpreting the results.

The class includes an overview of all the modules of EASERA SysTune. Due to the complexity of the programs, every option will not be discussed nor will every button be pushed, but students will have a good working knowledge of the program and be ready to make their own measurements at the completion of the class.

Participants will get more from the class if they have installed EASERA SysTune and worked through the Pre-Training tutorial. The goal of the EASERA SysTune class is to learn to use EASERA SysTune as a tool. We must assume students have a certain level of experience in pro-audio and with sound systems. The class is not a class in system design or room acoustics.

- SysTune TRAINING CLASSES in General

The class will be presented over two days at a facility where we can take measurements.  The first day
will concentrate on understanding the software, interfacing with the necessary hardware and learning
necessary basic concepts. The second day will be spent analyzing data and understanding what the
software is showing you. Loudspeakers of various types and sizes will be provided as will a number of
external sources.  At the end of the class, students should have a basic understanding of how to measure
and EQ, using EASERA SysTune, various components in a sound system, align subwoofers, and advanced
measurement techniques, like windowing.   What students should bring: All that is required for the class is an inquisitive mind and pleasant nature;
however, certain items will enhance the participant’s experience if they are available. A laptop computer
with EASERA SysTune installed; a mic-pre/sound card and a measurement microphone will allow the
participant to learn on his own equipment.
