PN/PNX Series loudspeaker systems integrate the entire signal chain – from line level to listener – into a compact, two-way system.
Renkus-Heinz engineering begins with the highest quality components: advanced transducers developed with the world’s leading manufacturers, no-compromise analog and digital electronics, and our unique Complex Conic horns. From there, our proprietary design process creates the most transparent, uncolored systems available.
Whether you need a single defined-coverage loudspeaker, a Reference Point Array, or distributed sources, PN/PNX Series loudspeakers can help you configure a complete, integrated system to meet the precise needs of your application. Choose PN Series PowerNet loudspeakers for integrated electronics, or non-powered PNX Series loudspeakers when your system needs external signal processing and amplification.
Complex Conic: The Next Step in Horn Evolution
Designed around the spherical expansion of the acoustic pressure wave, Complex Conic horns provide constant beamwidth / directivity without the problems associated with conventional rectangular horns.
These unique waveguides eliminate low frequency “pattern flip. ” Their circular mouths have no corners to cause high frequency “feathering” and the resulting distortion.
The results are audible: accurate pattern control, lower distortion and minimal coloration.
PN-1 and PN-1R PowerNet Amplifiers
The PN-1, the heart of PowerNet performance, is a new kind of intelligent electronics system. It combines low feedback Class A/B amplification and comprehensive signal processing into a single compact unit.
Crossovers and parametric EQ are integrated into the signal path. Loudspeaker-specific processing senses when output levels are about to damage the system and limits them to safe levels.
The PN-1R adds RHAON, the Renkus-Heinz Audio Operations Network. RHAON empowers you with full control over digital audio distribution, loudspeaker specific DSP and remote control/ monitoring – all using standard Ethernet hardware and cable.
The PN-1R offers dual analog inputs, dual CobraNet inputs and an AES3id serial input. Onboard DSP includes eight bands of parametric EQ, high and low shelving filters, delay and input level control, and is easily configured using RHAON software. Critical operating parameters such as signal clipping, amplifier output voltage and current, and temperature are continually monitored with automatic alert functions.
All portable PN/PNX models include tripod sockets and looping (in and out) Neutrik 4-pin Speak-on connectors.
Handles are also provided, except for the ultra-compact PN61 and PNX61 models. AeroQuip Fly-track is another popular option available on all models except for the PN61 and PNX61.
Standard PN and PNX Series finish is flat black. Optional finishes include white, “natural” ready-to-stain (sanded, unfinished). Custom colors are also available to match any decor.
Externally powered PNX Series loudspeakers are also available with weatherized woofer cones and connectors, in weather resistant fiberglass or Tufftex Elastomer finishes that are practically impervious to the elements.
Installation models are normally provided with twelve 1/4-20 attachment points which allow the enclosures to be easily flown in any plane using eye bolts.
U-brackets are another option on all models except for the PN151 and PNX151.
For wall or ceiling mounting applications, Omnimount nut-plates and mounting hardware are available on all models.
R-Hang array mounting hardware is available for all 2, 3, and 4 wide PN and PX “121” and “151” arrays.
